Terms & conditions

These terms set out how we work together. They cover the quotes we give and any move or storage we carry out for you. The written quote and booking confirmation we send form part of the agreement, and where a specific figure or period matters, it is the booking contract that governs it. If something here needs explaining, email hello@willesden-removals.co.uk before you book.

Quotes

A quote is based on the information you give us and, for larger moves, on a survey. If the job turns out to be materially different on the day — noticeably more to move, changed addresses, or access we weren’t told about — we may need to adjust the price, and we’ll speak to you before we do. Unless we say otherwise in writing, a quote stays valid for thirty days from its date.

Booking, deposits and payment

A move is confirmed once you accept the quote and, where we ask for one, pay a booking deposit. The balance is due as set out in your booking confirmation, normally on or before completion of the move. We’ll always give you the amount and the due date in writing before you commit.

Changes and cancellation

If you need to change or cancel, tell us as early as you can. Where you cancel a confirmed booking within fourteen days of the agreed move date, some or all of a deposit may be kept to cover work already done and time reserved; the specifics are in your booking contract. If we ever have to move a date for reasons beyond our control, we’ll offer you the earliest suitable alternative.

Our care of your belongings

We handle your goods with care, using proper materials and experienced crews. Please point out anything especially fragile, valuable or awkward before the move so we can plan for it. Items of unusual value should be declared in advance so the right cover can be arranged.

Liability and claims

We carry goods-in-transit and public-liability cover, with the terms and limits set out alongside your quote. If something is lost or damaged, tell us as soon as you spot it and confirm it in writing within seven days of the move so we can look into it properly. Some items — goods you’ve packed yourself, perishable or hazardous items, and certain valuables — may be treated differently, and any such exclusions will be made clear in your booking contract.

Storage

Where we store your goods, the storage terms, the notice needed to withdraw them and the payment arrangements are set out in your storage agreement. Access is by arrangement during office hours.

International moves

For moves outside the UK, transit times depend on the route, the crossing, customs clearance and whether your goods travel as a dedicated or a shared load. We prepare the customs paperwork with you, but you are responsible for the accuracy of the inventory and declarations you sign, and for meeting the entry requirements of the destination country.

Governing law

These terms and any agreement between us are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
