Good to know
Questions, answered
The things people ask us most — about moving around Willesden and NW10, storage and packing, moves into Europe, and how quotes and booking work.
Moving around Willesden & NW London
Which parts of Willesden do you cover?
All of it. Willesden Green and the High Road, Willesden Junction and the streets around it, Dollis Hill up the hill, and Kensal Green and Kensal Rise over towards the cemetery and Chamberlayne Road. NW10 and NW2 are our core patch, and we spill happily into the neighbouring Brent areas too.
Do you do removals around Willesden Junction?
Regularly. It’s a busy corner — the Overground and rail interchange, the one-way bits around Harlesden Road, and a lot of converted flats and ex-industrial units near the Old Oak side. We know where a van can wait and where it can’t, which keeps the day moving.
Can you handle the Victorian terraces off the High Road?
That’s most of what we move. Bay fronts, narrow hallways, a turn at the top of the stairs and a side return out the back — the NW10 terrace is a shape we know by heart. We bring the right protection and take the awkward pieces steadily rather than forcing them.
What about parking and permits on tight streets?
We plan for it before the day. Where a street is permit-only or parked solid, we’ll arrange a suspended bay or a dispensation with the council so there’s room for the van near the door. It saves carrying everything half the length of the road, and it saves time.
Do you also cover Harlesden, Neasden and Cricklewood?
We do, as neighbouring coverage. Harlesden’s town centre and side streets, Neasden up towards the Mandir and the North Circular, and Cricklewood along the Broadway and the Edgware Road are all within easy reach of our Willesden base.
Services, packing & storage
What’s included in a home removal?
A survey before the day for anything but the smallest move, blankets and protection for your furniture and floors, beds and wardrobes taken apart and rebuilt, and careful loading and setting-down at the new place. Packing, storage and unpacking bolt on if you want them — you pick the level.
Do you do man and van for smaller jobs?
Yes. For a single room, a few big items or a quick collection across NW10, a driver and a right-sized van is often the sensible call. We’ll be straight with you about when a man and van fits and when a full removal would actually serve you better.
Can you provide storage in Willesden?
We can — clean, dry, secure storage for a few boxes or a whole flat. We take a full inventory as your things go in, and we can roll a move-and-store into one booking with one team, which helps when the dates between homes don’t quite meet.
Do you supply packing materials?
We supply strong cartons, wrap and protection, and we’ll pack the whole home, just the breakables, or leave you to it with the right boxes to hand. Anything we pack goes on a labelled inventory, so nothing gets lost between the two ends.
Can you move an office or shop?
Yes. We plan commercial moves around your opening hours — out of hours or at the weekend where that protects trading — handle IT, desks and equipment, offer crate hire, and can store surplus stock or records. The aim is to keep any downtime as small as possible.
European & international moves
Do you move from Willesden to Europe?
We run household moves that leave from Willesden to France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Each is framed as a route pair — your NW10 address to the new one abroad — and one team stays with the move from collection to delivery, so nothing gets handed to a stranger at a depot.
How does customs work now, after Brexit?
For personal belongings going to a new main home in the EU there’s a recognised relief, and we prepare the paperwork — the inventory and the transit and customs documents — as part of the move. You won’t be filling in forms at a border; we handle that side and explain what you need to sign and why.
Can you take a part-load instead of a whole van?
Yes. If you’re not filling a lorry, a shared load — your goods travelling with other moves heading the same way — is often the smart choice. A dedicated load runs to your own schedule instead. We’ll explain which suits what you’re actually moving.
Which UK cities can you collect from on the way abroad?
Willesden is home, but the European routes we run also pick up along the way — London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh among them. If your move starts near one of those, it can often join the same corridor.
Quotes, timing & booking
How do I get a quote?
Send us your details and a bit about the move through the quote form, and we’ll come back by email with a clear, written, no-obligation quote. For a larger home we’ll arrange a quick survey first, so the figure is grounded in what’s really there.
How soon will you get back to me?
Promptly — usually within a working day or two of getting your details. If your move is time-sensitive, say so in the notes and we’ll push it to the front of the queue.
When should I book?
As early as you comfortably can, especially around the end of the week and the end of the month when the good slots go first. That said, we’ll always try to help at shorter notice — just ask, and we’ll see what we can do.
Are my things covered?
Yes. Goods-in-transit and liability cover are part of how we work, and we’ll set the terms out in writing with your quote, so you know exactly where you stand before anything’s booked.
Is the quote genuinely no-obligation?
Completely. The quote is there to help you decide. If the timing or the fit isn’t right, there’s no pressure and nothing owed — we’d rather you moved with us because it suited you, not because you felt cornered.
